Winemaker’s Notes:
“The Muscat grape is widely used for its characteristic monoterpene, fruity or grapey aroma. It is a delicious and intriguing but not too serious play on white wine, which lends itself to being chilled and creating a party around it. It is a varietal that we have not played with here at Page Mill, but perhaps it’s about time.
Over the years I have sought after newness and freshness. Michael Curran was the lead on trying the Muscat grape, and I think I owe him a debt of gratitude.... This type of wine has been missing from our lineup.”

Tasting Notes:
The Muscat (or as we lovingly call “#MuscatLuv”) brings a new and playful dimension to the Page Mill family of white wines. The Muscat grape has typical floral components not associated with Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, or even Sauvignon Blanc. Its ripe and generous aroma profile provide a very fruity flavor which is quite pleasing. We have created a dry version of this smart grape.
It should be served well chilled and will beg to be consumed by itself or with a host of pre-dinner nosh like goat cheese, dried apricots, harder cheeses, nuts and charcuterie. It is, additionally, not afraid to “go it alone”.... And can be just as easily served as a dessert wine, even though it is dry, the freshness on the palate and fruitiness on the nose might just be that perfect cap to a great meal.
